Goal 2: Waste Less Food
“A third of the worlds food is wasted yet 821 million people are undernourished”.
Traditional Refrigeration systems lead to food waste caused mainly by:

Project Drawdown, which is viewed as “the most comprehensive plan to reverse global warming” lists Refrigeration as the number one solution to climate change and global warming. Hydrofluorocarbon refrigerants have the potential to warm the atmosphere is by up to nine thousand times greater than CO². As a result, the Kigali amendment to the Montreal protocol will phase out HFC’s globally by 2030. Removing climate changing HFC’s will reduce global warming by nearly 1° Fahrenheit, according to experts in climate change. In addition, Project Drawdown also states that the naming of HFC’s could reduce “emissions equivalent to 25 to 78 gigatons of CO² “
